On 24 April in Ciempozuelos (Spain), the Sisters Hospitallers and the Brothers of St. John of God will conclude the centenary of St. Benedict Menni.

In the figure of Benedict Menni, restorer of the Order of the Brothers of St. John of God and founder of the Congregation of the Sisters Hospitallers, we discover a man who knew how to transcend borders and globalise the gift of hospitality.

His legacy inspires us to reach people and places neglected by others, to be enthusiastic witnesses to the Good News: TODAY, LIKE YESTERDAY AND ALWAYS, to recreate the charism of hospitality with a “Heart without borders.”

Centenary year

The year’s celebration of the centenary of the passing of St. Benedict Menni has been an opportunity to reconnect with the life and spirituality of this Hospitaller saint, as well as a time of grace and renewal for the members of the Hospitaller community.

Over the course of these memorable months, we have organised meetings, seminars, conferences, and retreats in collaboration with the Brothers of St. John of God, which will culminate with the centenary closing ceremony on 22, 23 and 24 April in Ciempozuelos. Consult the closing ceremony programme.

Let us walk with St. Benedict Menni and let it be his spirit that inspires us to be prophets of hospitality in this world!
